Age Invaders, developed by National University of Singapore’s Mixed Reality Lab, is a new type of entertainment that promotes social and physical interaction. The Age Invaders new media system combines technology and art into a system that allows the very young and the very old to interact and play, thus increasing the inter-generation interaction opportunities. Combining the research of Mixed Reality Lab on human physical interaction, it focuses on computer art, technology, and entertainment.
“It is very exciting for Singapore to have this great chance for young people to really express themselves and do creative things and have this support from the top government level. We were able to [reach out] to the community, bring out new media concepts, and inspire the young and the elderly into the creative industry.”
